We know that everyone wants to help our county's homeless animals but finding enough spare time to help is often difficult. Here is a way that you can help Animal Outreach publicize animals up for adoption in McHenry County in just one or two hours per month. Help us post "We Need Homes" posters throughout the county. Data shows that the main reason why individuals do not go to animal welfare groups first to adopt animals is that they do not know about them. We need to get the word out in the community and we need your help to do it. Do you work for a business or do you know of a business that has a community bulletin board? If you do you can download and print our 8 1/2" X 11" 'We Need Homes' poster from our website and post it on bulletin boards. The poster will change every two weeks (use the link at the bottom of this page to get the most recent poster) as animals find homes and new ones need to find new foster homes. We will notify you every two weeks (email weneedhomes@animaloutreachsociety.org to let us know you want to be notified) when a new poster is ready to be downloaded and printed. We will also keep you up to date every two weeks letting you know who found homes. It is a very rewarding experience knowing that you have helped a cat or dog find a new home. It only takes a few hours a month of your time, but it will make a huge difference in our county's dogs and cats lives. |
