Our long struggle to get Louisa healthy
is now much closer to happening!
Louisa is now heartworm NEGATIVE.
She is now healthy enough to be
spayed and have her much needed hip
surgery.
Louisa has learned a lot in the last five months. She is a very smart dog, wants to please everyone, is very affectionate and loving, and loves to snuggle. Going for walks and rides in the car are probably her favorite things to do. She has a lot of energy, but she is out of the puppy stage and settles down very easily. She still becomes agitated when around other animals, both cats and dogs. We are working with a trainer to lessen this behavior and have seen much improvement in the last few months. Louisa would do best in a home as the only animal, but we think that she could adjust to other dogs in a family. Cats would be a little more difficult for her if they were fast movers as she loves the chase. Louisa has been on a national website which is aiding in reuniting individuals affected by Katrina with lost animals. No one has claimed her so we will be putting her up for adoption after her hip surgery. If you are interested in this beautiful German Shepherd/Chow mix dog WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING ADOPTION APPLICATIONS FOR LOUISA. Animal Outreach is funding all her surgeries, rehabilitation as well as training. If you are interested in adopting her into your home please give us a call at 815-385-0005. |
